From Wiki4Games
Remedy Entertainment is a game development company founded in 1995[1]. It's based in Espoo (Finland)[1], and is mostly known for the Max Payne series. Their first game, a racing game called Death Rally, was published in 1996 by Apogee Software and GT Interactive[2].
In 1997, Remedy created a 3D benchmark program: Final Reality. In November 1997, they founded Futuremark, a company which would carry on the development of the benchmark program. Final Reality was soon renamed into 3DMark, which is amongst the most popular 3D benchmarking programs.
Remedy is currently developing Alan Wake, announced at the E3 2005[2] for Windows and Xbox 360.
